Yes I was there. . .

I was accused of not actually being on the trip to Florida

Here I am in the captain's seat of the Hummer Limo getting ready to head to the canoe base.

The Last Hurrah

Every vacation eventually comes to an end . . .

The Governor smiling at his admirers . . .

BoJean learning to swim . . .

MegaMoo learning to fly . . .

The way we were . . .

Grandma contemplating the pain of saying goodbye to the Louisville Five . . .

Louisville Life

With his smile and wave, Campbell will probably become a politician . . . his nickname is Governor. We are still investigating the bump on his head . . . there are conflicting stories. He also has the rythum when the music is playing . . . we're checking his DNA gene pool.

School Lunch at Hallie's (BoJean) elementary school.

Megan (MegaMoo) showing off her new headband that grandma made.

No vacation would be complete without checking out the local thrift store.

BoJean getting home from school so the tickle man can begin his job . . .

How nice to have your granddaughter come running off the bus and give you a big hug in front of all her friends. Time to enjoy . . . it may not always be that way. Life is good.

Saying goodbye to Florida

A view from our room . . .

Our room, the way Kaye could become accustomed to living . . .

Kaye has decided that happiness is having wood shutters . . .

If you are going out for tenderloin steak and stuffed jumbo shrimp, Kaye is the partner you want . . . that just meant two steaks and double the shrimp for me. Also double the weight to loose later, but better later than now.
We are headed for Louisville tomorrow . . .

Florida Alligator Country

A wildlife and nature canoe trip:

Kaye thought we should travel in style to the canoe base. . .

Here is Kaye giving directions down the river . . .

The end of the river trip . . . but not the end of the memories.
For a taste of what we experienced you can go to http://www.canoeescape.com/

Florida Beach Treasures

I wanted to show you pictures of what I saw at the beach but Kaye (strongly) suggested that I concentrate on what I found on the beach. These are the treasures I discovered while looking down instead of around. . .

Florida Sun & Fun

Florida has been all that we had hoped. Kaye is spending time by the pool and I am getting a lot of writing done. She got a French pedicure along with other beauty helps. My most interesting experience of the day was seeing a woman wearing a black string bikini and high heels as she played table tennis. No she wasn't blonde but she was beating her overweight male partner. After a couple of hours with the Saddlebrook tennis pro, Kaye's tennis game gradually came back and she was quite a challenge. Later when we were playing doubles I only got hit with the racket twice.
